Volkswagen T3 paint codes

In this post, we’ll look at where to find the label showing one of the Volkswagen T3 paint codes, and I’ll provide a list of the codes that were available as standard.

Where can you find the paint codes for the Volkswagen T3?

First of all, as I mentioned, you need to find out where on the van they’re indicated. There are three ways or possibilities:

• On a white sticker located beneath the steering wheel.
• On a metal plate under the driver’s seat.
• In the service manual (which I suppose few of us will have).

Once you’ve identified the original paint colour, it’s time to decide whether to repaint it the same colour, to change the colour but use the Volkswagen T3 paint codes, or to paint it a non-Volkswagen colour. As you know, I decided to paint the van in a non-factory colour.

Here is the list of Volkswagen T3 paint codes available to choose from. I’ve included the colour names in English and German, as well as the colour code references:

Volkswagen T3 two-tone paint codes

Volkswagen T3s were also factory-fitted with two-tone paintwork. These colours only appear on the T3 with two-tone paintwork in combination with one of the standard colours. There are also two-tone finishes that consist solely of the so-called standard colours.
